Python Developer | AI & Copilot Studio
About the position We are seeking a Python Developer to join our technology team and support the development of business applications, automation solutions, and AI-driven initiatives. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining Python-based applications, integrating third-party services, and supporting Microsoft Copilot Studio solutions to enhance productivity and business processes. The ideal candidate will have strong Python development experience, a solid understanding of software engineering principles, and hands-on experience working with AI-powered tools, automation platforms, or Copilot Studio.
Responsibilities
- Write effective, scalable, and maintainable Python code.
- Develop back-end components to improve application responsiveness and overall performance.
- Integrate user-facing elements into applications.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Python-based applications and services.
- Build and maintain integrations with APIs, databases, and third-party platforms.
- Configure and support Microsoft Copilot Studio solutions, including conversational agents and workflow automations.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven process improvements.
- Test, debug, and troubleshoot software applications.
- Improve functionality and performance of existing systems.
- Implement security and data protection best practices.
- Assess and prioritize feature requests and enhancement opportunities.
- Document technical designs, processes, and application functionality.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional Python development experience.
- Experience developing web applications, APIs, or backend services using Python.
- Experience with at least one Python framework such as Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar.
- Experience integrating applications with REST APIs and external services.
- Exposure to AI-powered tools, generative AI solutions, chatbots, or intelligent automation platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio.
- Knowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM) concepts and database design.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Experience working with Azure cloud services.
- Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, Microsoft AI services, or large language model (LLM) integrations.
- Experience developing conversational AI or chatbot solutions.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
