Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Technical Guidance & Training: Conduct training sessions for engineers and technicians in your specialty area, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development across the remote workforce.

  • Issue Analysis: Diagnose aircraft or component problems that could cause delays, increased labor, or material waste, and recommend effective corrective actions.
  • Design Support: Provide timely engineering assistance for abnormal situations, helping maintenance teams restore aircraft to serviceable status quickly.
  • Inter‑Departmental Coordination: Respond to requests from Maintenance, Operations, and other airline divisions, delivering specialized expertise to resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Strategic Planning: Create work plans for fleet‑wide and multi‑fleet design projects, aligning them with evaluated needs and corporate objectives.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain design documentation, ensuring that revised procedures for repairs, modifications, and inspections meet both aircraft/department goals and corporate mandates.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Keep abreast of current and upcoming regulations that affect your area of responsibility, guaranteeing that all design activities remain compliant.

Essential Qualifications – What You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Minimum of 1 year of engineering experience in a related field, or 2 years of experience without a degree.
  • Valid A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) license or equivalent certification.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
