Role Description The Fractional CFO – Business Opportunity role is a part-time, remote position focused on providing strategic financial leadership to support the growth and sustainability of Healthcare Saver Services™. The individual in this role will oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, and will design financial models to support revenue growth, partner compensation, and member acquisition strategies. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting financial statements, monitoring cash flow, assessing unit economics, and developing actionable insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency. The Fractional CFO will also establish and refine financial reporting frameworks, support fundraising or capital planning discussions as needed, and advise on risk management, compliance considerations, and long-term financial strategy. This role is designed as an opportunity for an entrepreneurial finance leader who wants to partner closely with the founding team and help shape a scalable, mission-driven business model.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance, including experience guiding strategic financial decisions in an early-stage or growth environment.
- Proficiency in Financial Planning and budgeting, with the ability to build and maintain forecasts, models, and scenario analyses.
- Hands-on experience working with Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including developing dashboards and KPIs for leadership and stakeholders.
- Advanced Analytical Skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and practical recommendations.
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, health sharing, or related industries is highly beneficial.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a remote, part-time, fractional, or consulting CFO capacity.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are a plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, comfort with ambiguity, and interest in building scalable systems and processes from the ground up.
