- Develop comprehensive lesson plans tailored to adult learners’ language proficiency levels and individual needs, incorporating best practices in instructional design and curriculum development.
- Deliver live, interactive online classes using a Learning Management System (LMS) and other learning technology tools to facilitate engaging lessons.
- Track progress and adjust teaching strategies to optimize learning outcomes.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively.
- Maintain clear communication with students regarding lesson objectives, assignments, and feedback to foster a motivating learning environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development focused on adult language education, literacy education, and working with students from varied cultural backgrounds.
Experience
- Proven experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) or in adult education settings, preferably with classroom experience in virtual environments (2 years required).
- Strong background in lesson planning for diverse learner populations.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms and learning technology tools used for remote instruction.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate learners and foster an inclusive virtual classroom atmosphere.
