TikTok Video Editor for Inspirational Book Launch (Cinematic, High-Retention Storytelling)

We are seeking an elite short-form video editor to transform raw footage of author Chris Young into high-impact TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. www.chrisyounginspires.com Chris is the author of the upcoming memoir The Wound Is Where the Light Enters. His story is one of ultimate resilience: surviving poverty, fighting sickle cell anemia, spending a decade in federal prison on a mandatory life sentence, teaching himself philosophy/literature (like Hamlet) in solitary confinement, receiving presidential clemency, and recently graduating from SMU. We have the raw footage. We need an editor who can find the absolute best 30-to-60-second "hooks" and build powerful, moving narratives. Responsibilities: Cut long raw footage into highly engaging, standalone short-form clips. Apply dynamic, engaging captions (custom styles, color-coded emphasis). Implement cinematic sound design (ambient background music, intentional sound effects, audio enhancement). Insert highly relevant B-roll, historical imagery, or minimal text graphics to emphasize key concepts (e.g., the power of the mind, classical literature, prison reform). Maintain a serious, inspiring, and premium brand aesthetic. Requirements: Proven track record editing high-retention TikToks or Shorts (please provide a portfolio). Masterful understanding of pacing, tension, and emotional hooks. High proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut Pro. Strong communication and fast turnaround times.
