Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Intelligence Analyst and Data Specialist to join our team in Wyoming, USA. As an Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for performing complex analytical investigations using present databases and monitoring structures to support Inspection Service investigative activities, national and local law enforcement strategies, and the development of crime prevention measures. You will develop analytic products that are disseminated and used in law enforcement agencies to enhance strategic and tactical planning, inter-agency partnership, resource prioritization, and workload allocation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex analytical investigations and projects, including identifying intelligence and investigative methodologies, data retrieval, compilation, and extrapolation.
  • Develop, analyze, and synthesize intelligence data and reports, using tables, complex spreadsheets, graphs, flow charts, and reports to facilitate and support law enforcement investigations, prosecutions, operational planning, and crime prevention measures.
  • Perform in-depth and complex analyses on illicit international activities, emerging criminal trends and patterns, new product vulnerabilities, and inter-agency data monitoring systems gaps and opportunities; report and disseminate findings internally and to the outside intelligence community; make recommendations for preventive and/or proactive measures.
  • Utilize present internal and external databases and monitoring systems to identify data trends, patterns, and networks.
  • Provide technical guidance to inspectors and others as needed to expedite investigative and prosecution activities.
  • Design, organize, and implement quantitative research and surveys to support data-driven decision-making and prioritization of investigative resources and national and local strategic policy development.
  • Serve as a technical resource and expert on investigative and intelligence project teams and panels. Provide supporting documentation at administrative and judicial hearings in civil and criminal court proceedings.
  • Maintain liaison contacts with other law enforcement and non-law enforcement agencies, and participate in professional associations and conferences.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree and a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the following requirements:

  • Knowledge of sources, databases, and techniques of gathering intelligence data.
  • Knowledge of data technology sufficient to analyze and communicate with internal and external stable electronic databases.
  • Ability to conduct intelligence studies and interviews to support financial, tactical, and strategic analyses.
  • Ability to assess data and information in complex and diverse forms to determine data significance, integrity, and reliability within a law enforcement context.
  • Ability to analyze and prepare diverse types of data and information into database and monitoring systems to facilitate the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data.
  • Ability to use quantitative and qualitative evaluative techniques to ensure integrity, quality, and reliability of intelligence data and analytic products.
  • Ability to develop complex spreadsheets, tables, graphs, flow charts, and other visual depictions to facilitate the presentation and interpretation of data, trends, and patterns.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to clearly convey information, findings, and recommendations to various audiences, both internal and external.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience working in a law enforcement or intelligence agency.
  • Knowledge of data analysis software and tools, such as Excel, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Experience with data visualization and presentation techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
