Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and service-oriented individual to join our inflight team. An ideal candidate for the Southwest Airlines Flight Attendant role would be someone who has a natural propensity towards customer service, a love for travel, and the enthusiasm to work in a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment. You will ensure the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our passengers, while upholding the values and standards of Southwest Airlines.
Responsibilities
– Brief passengers on the aircraft’s safety procedures and ensure compliance with all flight regulations.
– Provide exceptional customer service, responding to passengers needs and inquiries courteously.
– Conduct pre-flight inspections and post-flight clean-up.
– Serve beverages and snacks and sell onboard merchandise.
– Assist passengers with special needs, including children, elderly, or those with disabilities.
– Administer and coordinate emergency procedures or provide first aid as needed.
Requirements
– Minimum age of 21 years.
– High school diploma or equivalent; further education is beneficial.
– Ability to reach overhead storage bins and stand for extended periods.
– Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is an advantage.
– Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
– Able to work in a team environment and handle stress effectively.
– Must be able to relocate as needed and have a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
– Pass a background check and drug testing.
– Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Educational Qualifications
– High school diploma or GED required.
– Further certifications in hospitality or customer service are a plus.
Experience
– Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or aviation is preferred but not required.
