New Business to Consumer Website in development. About the position: We’re seeking a skilled Shopify expert to join our team in a flexible, part-time or freelance capacity. This role is ideal for someone with a few years of experience in Shopify development and optimization, who can support our online presence and help our site reach its full potential without the commitment of a full-time position or the overhead of a large agency. Key Responsibilities: • Site Optimization: Ensure our Shopify site runs smoothly, loads quickly, and provides an exceptional user experience for our customers. • SEO Expertise: Implement effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to drive organic traffic and improve search rankings. • Design & Usability Enhancements: Maintain a clean, visually appealing, and easy-to-navigate layout that aligns with our brand image. Work with our design team to keep the site’s look fresh and engaging. • Marketing & Social Media Support: Collaborate on ideas for our social media and ad campaigns, including basic ad management to help drive traffic to our site. • Communication & Collaboration: Regularly connect with our marketing, design, and client success teams via Zoom or phone to coordinate and execute project goals effectively. Qualifications: • Experience: 2+ years in a similar role working with Shopify, including hands-on experience with SEO, site optimization, and basic ad management. • Technical Skills: Proficient in Shopify customization and plug-ins, comfortable with SEO best practices, and knowledgeable in optimizing site speed and performance. • Strong Communication: Comfortable working in a collaborative setting, with the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently over phone and video calls. • Detail-Oriented: Capable of making incremental improvements and keeping track of ongoing optimizations to ensure a consistently high-quality user experience.
