Job Title: Full-Time Music School Director (Remote Position) About Us:At Shining Star Music Academy, we believe in the transformative power of music to inspire, empower, and bring joy to our students and their families. As a rapidly growing music school, we offer a wide range of lessons for piano, guitar, voice, drums, violin, and more. We serve students in person in their homes in Jacksonville, Orlando, Ocala and Gainesville, and have a growing online program as well. Our mission is to cultivate confidence, discipline, and self-expression in every student we teach. Job Summary:We are seeking a dynamic, organized, and inspiring Music School Director to oversee and support our team of area managers, administrators, and other key personnel. This full-time, remote position requires a visionary leader who can align teams with our mission, ensure smooth operations, and foster a positive, collaborative culture. Expected hours would be 8-6pm M-F with a minimum average of 45 hours per week, and being on call for emergencies otherwise. Key Responsibilities: • Leadership & Oversight: Provide leadership and mentorship to area managers, administrators, and other staff, ensuring they are equipped and motivated to achieve their goals. • Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations across all service locations, ensuring all departments function efficiently and align with the academy’s standards and values. • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement growth strategies, improve operational processes, and enhance the overall student and parent experience. • Team Coordination: Facilitate communication between area managers, administrators, and other team members to ensure alignment and cohesion across all locations. • Performance Monitoring: Evaluate and analyze key performance metrics for each department, providing feedback and actionable plans for improvement. • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve escalated issues from parents, students, or staff with professionalism and empathy. • Project Management: Lead special projects, such as launching new programs, improving systems, or expanding services. • Meetings & Training: Organize and lead regular team meetings, professional development sessions, and quarterly performance reviews. Qualifications: • Proven experience in a leadership or director role, preferably in music organizations. • Strong understanding of business operations, including staff management, customer service, and strategic planning. • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in using CRM systems, project management tools, and virtual meeting platforms. • Passion for music education and the mission of cultivating confidence and joy through the arts. • Experience working from home and keeping a regular routine on your own. Preferred Qualifications: • Background in music or arts education. • Experience managing remote teams.
