About the position As a Principal Product Manager at SoFi, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our financial marketplace, particularly focusing on the needs of small to medium-sized businesses. This position requires a strategic and collaborative product leader who can effectively communicate and drive the vision for our products. You will be responsible for defining the product roadmap and ensuring that our offerings align with the overall mission of helping our members achieve financial independence. Your work will directly impact the way consumers interact with our financial services, allowing them to maximize the value of SoFi products through a seamless marketplace experience. In this role, you will have the opportunity to deliver a best-in-class marketplace that serves consumers at every stage of their financial journey. You will identify opportunities to integrate our financial services products, set clear goals, and define member experiences that drive financial success. The position is inherently cross-functional, requiring you to collaborate with various teams including engineering, design, data science, marketing, operations, finance, risk, legal, and compliance. Your ability to bridge the gap between technical and business aspects will be crucial in driving profitable growth while managing associated risks. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior product managers, sharing your expertise and best practices to elevate the team's overall skill set. This role demands a proactive and results-oriented approach, with a strong emphasis on communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization. Your leadership will be essential in executing the strategic vision and ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned with the product goals and objectives. Responsibilities • Own and define the vision, strategy, and product roadmap for SoFi's financial marketplace, focusing on small-medium businesses. , • Create and evangelize a product vision and own a multi-year product roadmap. , • Communicate the vision, strategy, execution plan, and customer impact/learnings to all stakeholders, including senior leadership. , • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to execute the strategic vision for your line of business and initiatives. , • Mentor junior product managers to elevate their skillsets with industry best practices. Requirements • 7+ years of product management experience. , • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field. , • A proactive, results-oriented approach to work. , • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. , • Demonstrated ability to grasp complex user scenarios, technical concepts, and business drivers. , • Keen attention to detail and proficiency in distilling complex issues. , • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. , • Ability to collaborate with and manage cross-functional groups of stakeholders. , • Ability to co-drive the P&L with cross-functional leadership teams.
