Nurse Device Clinic - Remote | WFH - Presbyterian Heart and Vascular Care

Key Responsibilities • Deliver in-person care to patients with implanted cardiac devices (CIEDs), including interrogation, evaluation, and programming for various manufacturers like Medtronic, Abbott, Boston Scientific, and Biotronik. • Identify and address CIED abnormalities, facilitating follow-up care as necessary. • Educate patients and their families on post-implant care, device functions, remote monitoring, and essential follow-up procedures. • Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to ensure coordination of care and timely service for CIED patients. • Act as a knowledgeable resource for device and arrhythmia management for staff members across various departments. • Complete comprehensive documentation for CIED assessments, arrhythmia management, and billing purposes under the oversight of the attending physician. • Monitor and review CIED remote transmissions and trans-telephonic alerts, adhering to manufacturer advisories and guidelines. • Participate in continuing education and provide cross-coverage within the CIED department for satellite facilities. Required Skills • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in New Mexico. • BLS and ACLS certifications. • A strong foundation in cardiology is highly valued. • Familiarity with CIED management or completion of a recognized CIED program (e.g., ATI or PrepMD). • Preferred: International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification and LS Certification at time of hire. Qualifications • An Associate's degree in Nursing is required. • 1-2 years of experience in critical care, interventional cardiology/electrophysiology lab, or cardiac step-down unit is essential, with 2 years preferred. • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
