Legal Intern - Wealth Management
Ameritas Agency and Advisor Distribution is looking for a Legal Intern - Advanced Financial Planning that possesses a unique set of skills. This position requires an individual with the aptitude and desire to utilize legal, accounting, and marketing skills to position Ameritas as a first-class wealth management company. This position also requires one to possess and most importantly learn how best to prepare a curriculum to help financial advisors motivate and educate their clients. This position requires a highly motivated and energetic individual with the desire to put their intellectual aptitude to work in a non-traditional manner. At Ameritas, our mission is Fulfilling Life. This internship would start as soon as possible. This is a hybrid role working partially in-office and partially from home. What you do Assist in preparation of high-level case designs for business, estate, and retirement planning cases assisting with financial planning utilizing advanced strategies including trusts and charitable strategies Case follow-up with advanced market concepts Creating marketing copy for concepts based upon new tax/legal developments Submitting and monitoring content through Ad Review Assist with reporting on production results from the Advanced Solutions and Design team Provide general support to the Advanced Solutions and Design team What you bring Second year law student or higher preferred. First year law students will be considered. Enrolled in college program, at least part-time, for the course the internship Able to fulfill a long-term internship commitment (one to two years), working full-time in the summer and part-time during the school year FT includes 30-40 hours a week PT includes 15-20 hours a week Strong oral and writing skills An interest in tax, trusts, estate planning and/or financial planning Possess the ability to work autonomously and, when presented with an unknown, motivated to do one's own research to find the answer or solution Inquisitive in nature and eager to learn Ability to adapt to change and take initiative Ability to write accurately about the business Possess strong relationship building skills What we offer Our company motto is Fulfilling Life and we take that job seriously, with a heavy commitment to volunteering and community support, employee well-being, and providing quality products and services that help our customers create a brighter future.
