San Jose Behavioral Health is currently seeking a Utilization Review Specialist Per Diem to assist the nursing staff with comprehensive inpatient care and treatment within our 133-bed Acute Psychiatric Hospital. San Jose Behavioral Health is where adults and adolescents can receive comprehensive inpatient treatment for a range of behavioral and mental health disorders. Conveniently located in the heart of San Jose the hospital is easily accessible to residents in Santa Clara County, San Mateo County, and Alameda County. The Hospital campus is situated amid gently rolling hills and features serene views of beautiful natural surroundings. San Jose Behavioral Health currently has an opportunity for a Utilization Review Specialist Per Diem, at our new 133 bed Acute Psychiatric Hospital, located in South San Jose, CA. At San Jose Behavioral Health, our counseling professionals provide treatment and support to assist clients in their recovery from behavioral problems and assist with modifying problem behaviors; may also provide counseling services to families of clients. Summary: San Jose Behavioral Health is currently seeking an experienced Utilization Review Specialist Per Diem to join our growing team. The Utilization Review Specialist coordinates and assesses the inpatient census for appropriate alternate health care service needs. Responsibilities include performing on-site and/or telephonic concurrent review of acute and sub-acute services, as well as pre-certification review for all services following the plans authorization guidelines. The Utilization Review Specialist will also coordinate with appropriate discharge planning processes, providing feedback on documentation processes; and functions as a resource to the clinical team regarding approved criteria, practice guidelines and alternative treatment options. Requirements/Qualifications: Ideal candidates will have a degree in Nursing from an accredited college, and possession of a current nursing licensure (i.e. LVN, LPT, RN) Required. Qualified candidates will have 3-5 year of nursing experience preferably in Utilization Management, or hospital/acute care setting. May also be a licensed social worker and or Therapist. Qualified candidates will have 3-5 years clinical experience preferably with at least 1 year UR experience. Fully License Requirement. COMPENSATION Compensation for roles at San Jose Behavioral Health varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, San Jose Behavioral Health provides a reasonable hourly range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California as set forth below.
