PostgreSQL Database Administrator- 100% Remote- Full time

Required Skills Minimum of 10 years of strong and relevant experience as a PostgreSQL Database Administrator, specifically for large scale applications. Extensive experience with AWS RDS Postgres, including setup, configuration, and management. Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture, configuration, and administration. Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience developing and reviewing complex PL/pgSQL functions, procedures, and other database objects. Extensive experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL programming. Familiarity with database security best practices. Experience with backup and recovery strategies. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility in working hours to support global teams and critical database operations. Must have experience in production system monitoring and incident management processes. Must provide after-hours on-call support. Experience in designing database schemas, access patterns, and locking strategies. Experience in conducting performance analysis and capacity planning. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Bitbucket, Bamboo, Github, Jenkinks). Preferred Skills Knowledge of other database systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle). Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with new technologies and industry trends.
