Position Summary This position is responsible for member facing outreach to support Medicare Part D Stars initiatives nationally. Responsibilities include research and review of member history, assisting members with obtaining refills, setting up automatic refill processes to help member remain adherent with maintenance medications. Additionally, this position is responsible for screening orders, research, and review of prescription overrides, accurately and efficiently reading, interpreting, and entering prescriptions into the computer system in a timely fashion, and/ or thinking through and solving escalated prescription issues. Through your skills and knowledge, you will offer solutions needed to help simplify the customer health care experience. Areas of focus for Pharmacy Technicians may include outbound calls, inbound calls, entering patient and prescription information into our system, and faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes. To help support development and maximize workflow, you will be asked to perform other pharmacy functions as required.

Required Qualifications

Licensure and/or certificate per state or federal requirements. Three months minimum pharmacy technician experience Preferred Qualifications Certified pharmacy technician registration. Adept at reading/interpreting prescription terminology and medications. Excellent customer service skills, primarily over the phone. Rapid keyboarding skills while maintaining 100% accuracy. Able to meet specified production and quality standards as defined by the management team. Able to recognize and identify commonly used generic drugs and the route of administration of these drugs. General knowledge of commonly used generic drugs. Able to understand and interpret Latin symbols commonly used on prescriptions medications and able write routine correspondence. Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. This includes the ability to calculate dosages and days-supply prescriptions. Flexible and enjoy working in a fast pace, team-oriented environment. Education H.S or Equivalent Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $17.00 - $31.30 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
