As a Business Banking Lending Specialist, you will play a crucial role in interpreting and processing Business Banking loan applications using the NextGen digital platform. This position requires a high level of accuracy and timeliness in managing personal workloads to complete assignments and achieve departmental goals. You will be responsible for understanding and interpreting loan applications, credit files, and loan approvals, as well as coordinating with lenders and branch managers to ensure all required materials are received for loan submissions. Your responsibilities will also include tracking applications to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, preparing commitment letters, and maintaining Business Banking loan credit files. Providing exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers is essential in this role, as is maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities • Interpret and process Business Banking loan applications using the NextGen digital platform in a highly accurate and timely manner. , • Utilize numerous resources to verify applicant data and total banking relationships with CBNA. , • Manage personal workload to complete assignments in a timely manner and achieve departmental goals. , • Understand and interpret loan application, credit files, and loan approvals. , • Identify missing information from the loan package and create tracking items based on loan application requirements. , • Coordinate and communicate with lenders and branch managers to ensure follow-up and receipt of all required materials relative to the BB loan submission. , • Track applications to ensure compliance with Reg B standards and prepare and send incomplete letters as needed. , • Research potential borrowers on various governmental websites for business and collateral filings and document findings in the file. , • Prepare commitment letters by interpreting credit files and loan approvals. , • Order and track mortgage due diligence information necessary prior to closing. , • Assist in maintaining BB Department mailboxes and respond to inquiries as needed. , • Provide exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers to achieve departmental goals. , • Maintain proficient knowledge of and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensuring adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls. , • Administer Business Banking Loan Credit Files and record retention. , • Perform other duties as required. Requirements • Associates Degree in Business or a related field with Lending/Credit experience. , • Minimum of 2 years bank experience related to lending and/or credit analysis function. , • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematical skills. , • Proficient interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written). , • Understanding of financial statement composition with the ability to interpret, analyze, and connect financial data from various sources. , • Comprehensive understanding of commercial loan documents, processes, and collateral perfection. , • Ability to review and interpret credit approval information. , • Strong organizational skills. , • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; NextGen experience is a plus.
