Serve The Champion Center (TCC) as its most experienced editor. Responsible for delivering high-quality and consistent products for TCC. Oversee proper workflow of assigned projects from conception to delivery, utilizing knowledge of the complete life cycle of a project. Assist various producers with their edit workflow by color correcting, sweetening, and matching audio, video, and captions. An ideal candidate would possess a balance of technical proficiency, creativity, and strong organizational skills. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Edit and deliver video post-production deliverables utilizing Premiere Pro and After Effects. • Responsible for creative discretion and judgment. • Oversee proper workflow of assigned projects from conception to delivery. • Liaise with stakeholders and make necessary revisions. • Assists in field-based video production . • Develops video concepts in cooperation with existing Champion Center technology. • Storyboard and develop video solutions . • Assist producers with editing workflows. • Color grade, audio sweeten, and and marry audio/video/captions for assigned projects. • Organizes and manages digital asset library . • Remains abreast of existing and emerging technologies, processes, products, services and leading industry performance benchmarks. • Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner. • Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s Christian model and Mission – Training Champions for Christ. • Work nights and weekends; travel as assigned. • Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None. QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS Education and Experience • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. • 5+ years in a related field. • Demo reel of recent relevant work must be submitted to be interviewed for the position. • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve is preferred. ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES ESSENTIAL TO THE FUNCTION OF THE JOB Communication and Comprehension • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information. • Ability to understand, speak, and write English to convey messages and correspond articulately and professionally. • Possess public communication skills that allow the professional representation of Liberty University to a variety of business and community customers and associates. • Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail. • Working knowledge of pre-production, production, and post-production practices. • Working familiarity with both academic and professional media environments. • Excellent oral, written, presentation, and negotiation skills. • Ability to work with conflicting, delayed, ambiguous, or last-minute information. • Ability to work independently and within a team. Problem Solving • Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature. Physical and Sensory Abilities • Occasionally required to travel to local and campus locations. • Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform desk work or type on a keyboard. • Fine motor skills and dexterity are essential to operate editing equipment. • Regularly required to hear and discern sounds and speak to communicate orally effectively. • Regularly required to see and discern colors to install, visually inspect, and maintain equipment. • Standing, walking, and climbing stairs are frequently required to move about the building. • Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop to conduct business. • Regularly lift 20 or fewer pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS Work Environment The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is frequently changing. Functions of this position’s responsibility often require one to work after normal business hours and sometimes for long shifts. Some projects are completed in a climate-controlled office setting, and other projects on a regular basis are outdoors, in some situations, rain must be accommodated. Work from home may be encouraged or required at times. Driving Requirements Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
