As an Operations Excellence Project Manager, you will develop and evaluate improvement solutions to ensure alignment with Lean principles and Operations Excellence standards. In addition, will analyze business processes to determine existing performance in terms of service, cost and quality, which involves gathering information through interviews, measurements, tests and observations. This position is also capable of supporting a variety of other roles across the organization to ensure we have the appropriate depth of resource to meet our business objectives. Such roles could include Operations, Quality, Engineering or Supply Chain. What you’ll do: • Assists Business Units with the development and execution of improvement plans to meet scorecard objectives. • Documents Operations Excellence best practices and assists in their deployment across sectors. • Contribute to the Operations Excellence toolkit. • Gather and analyzes detailed data to understand current performance and identify improvement opportunities. • Lead the development of Project Charters, Statements of Work and Project Plans while also assisting with the selection of project team members. • Prepare cost benefit analysis. • Provide mentorship to Business Unit personnel involved in implementing and maintaining Operations Excellence best practices. • Assist in the development and delivery of Operations Excellence training. • Provide OJT (on-the-job training) to project team members to meet project objectives. • Facilitate the development of high-performance project teams. • Provide post-implementation mentorship to customers. • Develop and delivers presentations both internally and externally. • Prepare edits and consolidates written reports for internal use. • Complete professional development activities to maintain Operations Excellence expertise. • Carry out special projects as assigned. Position Requirements: • Bachelors’ degree In Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce or related field and 10+ years of related experience doing continuous improvement projects. • Extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing and the Continual Improvement Process. Ideal candidate would be a Master Black Belt. • Strong facilitation skills. • Working knowledge of production management computer systems. • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills. • Be able to provide Lean training to the workforce. • Extensive MRO leadership experience in Quality, Operations, or Continuous Improvement. • Licensed A&P technician • Authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Characteristics: • Working knowledge of production equipment. • Project Management Professional (PMP) certified. • Minitab software experience.
