About the position The Environmental Specialist position at WSP involves supporting site contamination cleanup projects, specifically focusing on petroleum contaminated sites in Florida. Responsibilities ? Facilitate assessment and cleanup of petroleum contaminated sites to protect groundwater in Florida. , ? Prioritize tasks, track project deliverables and deadlines, and monitor progress of site assessment and remediation projects. , ? Verify investigation data in technical reports, maps, and summary tables. , ? Prepare site-specific scopes of work for procurement of site assessment and remediation services. , ? Prepare written approvals and comments for project reports and deliverables. , ? Coordinate with team members for technical decisions and approval of deliverables. , ? Communicate effectively in meetings and video calls with property owners, consultants, and regulatory professionals. , ? Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct. Requirements ? Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or a related life sciences field. , ? 1 to 3 years of professional experience in environmental protection, regulation, or health. Nice-to-haves ? Experience with site contamination assessment, remediation, or groundwater monitoring. , ?
