JOB SUMMARY Kutak Rock LLP seeks a paralegal to join the firm?s Special Districts practice group in its Tallahassee office. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in bond financing, real property, and/or contract drafting or paralegal experience and enjoy working in a collegial, collaborative environment. RESPONSIBILITIES ? Provide strict confidentiality and discretion in all firm and client matters ? Prepare first drafts of transaction documents, attend drafting sessions, and make revisions to primary documents ? Coordinate the distribution of documents to participants ? Work with various consultants and experts ? Conduct research when necessary ? Provide generalized support to attorneys at the firm ? Handle routine correspondence, maintain telephone contact with clients, and consult the supervising attorney for legal advice when necessary ? Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities ? Proficient computer skills ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills ? Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures ? Excellent interpersonal skills with an aptitude to interface with attorneys, clients, and staff professionally ? Ability to handle a large amount of detailed information ? Ability to quickly master new materials, information, and processes ? Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple projects in response to changing priorities ? Ability to work independently and in a team environment ? Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to assume responsibility for the start and completion of tasks ? Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including the use of Styles and Schemes ? Experience with document comparison software (Litera), PDF, Kofax, Excel, and PowerPoint QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience ? High School degree or equivalent required ? Associate degree, Bachelor degree, or paralegal certificate from an ABA approved institution preferred ? 3 or more years professional experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, or in bond financing, real property, and/or contract drafting role Position Information Status: Non-Exempt Salary Range: $63,000-$85,000 Work Arrangement: Hybrid
