Branch is seeking a Security professional to join our established security team. An ideal candidate will be able to bring their existing skills to help cover day to day operational concerns with a desire to continue their learning and career growth. 

Primary responsibilities include

Security Architecture & Implementation

  • Maintain and expand Cloud security solutions, including WAF, SIEM, DLP, and IAM tools.
  • Evaluate and enhance security configurations across cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with IT, Engineering and Cloud Ops teams to ensure secure system and application development.
  • Work with Branch’s Managed Defense provider to ensure branch’s systems are protected and monitored 24/7.

Threat Detection & Incident Response

  • Monitor security alerts, analyze threats, and respond to security incidents promptly.
  • Maintain logging and monitoring infrastructure.
    • Will become an internal expert on the company's SIEM.
    • Assist with incident response tasks and analysis.
  • Develop and refine security playbooks for threat mitigation and response.
  • Participate and respond to security incidents in a measured, programmatic, and timely manner

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to independently work security incidents from identification to resolution.
  • Cloud Security/CNAPP exposure. 
  • Solid ethics and core values.
  • Experience in using security tools such as EDR/DLP/CNAPP/SIEM.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks like SOC 2, PCI, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CCPA.
  • Scripting experience using Bash and Python is preferred.
  • Certifications a plus (SEC+, GSEC, CEH, or similar).

Compensation: The base compensation range for this role is 120-130k.  The salary range displayed reflects an average base salary range for the position across all the US. The base salary offered to an applicant could be higher or lower based on each applicants’ specific skill set, depth of experience, relevant education or training, etc. The base salary range listed excludes commission/ bonus/ equity or benefits.
