Summer Intern - Retail & eCommerce Intern
Dividend Management is seeking a Retail & eCommerce Intern to support the operations of multiple eCommerce sites, including artist merch stores, branded products, and lifestyle campaigns. This intern will be responsible for managing backend product updates, inventory tracking, and basic digital marketing efforts across platforms like Shopify and Instagram. Responsibilities:
- Upload and manage products on Shopify, including updating titles, descriptions, pricing, tags, and imagery
- Organize and maintain product inventory spreadsheets and align data with Shopify inventory reports
- Assist in the management and scheduling of Instagram content to promote product drops, restocks, and brand updates
- Perform weekly audits of active listings to ensure accuracy and update any out-of-date content
- Support coordination of product launches and promotional campaigns across multiple online stores
- Track and report on store performance and customer behavior using built-in Shopify analytics
- Communicate with creative, PR, and artist teams to ensure seamless store updates and brand alignment
- Stay informed on competitor stores, merch trends, and relevant cultural releases
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience with Shopify (or a strong willingness to learn quickly)
- Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel for managing and tracking inventory
- Working knowledge of Instagram, especially from a brand marketing or business page perspective
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to stay organized across multiple projects
- Strong communication skills and an understanding of branding and digital presentation
- Bonus: Familiarity with eCommerce email platforms (e.g., Klaviyo or Mailchimp)
- Bonus: Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools
Internship Details: This internship is available for the Summer semester. It is a non-paid internship, with flexible hours (minimum of 16 hours per week) to accommodate your necessary college credit requirements. COVID-19 vaccination series and booster shot are mandatory requirements for this position.
