The Lead Barista will play a crucial role in ensuring our Milkhouse Coffee shop delivers exceptional coffee and customer service. This position requires a passion for coffee and an ability to lead and manage a team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, creative, and dedicated to creating welcoming atmosphere for team members and guests.Essential Job Functions:Lead and inspire the barista team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.Train new Baristas on processes and procedures and monitor adherence to guidelinesConduct regular quality checks to ensure the consistency and excellence of coffee productsEngage with regular customers and build a loyal customer base.Schedule barista shifts and manage daily staffing needs.Monitor inventory levels, place orders through approved vendors, and manage suppliesOversee the daily operations of the MilkhouseCreate menu specialsFollow health and safety regulations to promote a clean work environmentProvide preventative maintenance for all espresso machines, grinders, and brewing devicesLicenses & Certifications:Food Handlers PermitSkills & AbilitiesProven experience as a barista, with advanced knowledge of coffee preparation techniquesPrevious leadership or supervisory experience in a coffee shop or similar environmentStrong understanding of coffee beans, brewing methods, and latte artExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficientlyExperience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory managementPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 20 poundsLodging Dynamics is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
