Healthcare Support – Pharmacy Technician – Drug Safety – Orlando, FL
Job title: Pharmacy Technician - Drug Safety Company: Healthcare Support Job description: Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician - Drug Safety looking for a new opportunity with a prestigious healthcare company? - This role is internally called a Pharmacovigilance Specialist (Pharmacovigilance: the science and activities relating to the detection, assessment, understanding and prevention of adverse effects or any other medicine/vaccine related problem)
- Daily duties will include data entry and manipulation using ScriptMed, Word, Excel, and PDF.
- Responsible for collecting, monitoring, processing, and distributing adverse event reports and information queries
- Prepare and submit adverse event cases to pharma clients or FDA
- Reviews safety and medical information for the assigned products, including safety components of protocols and studies for assigned drugs
- Prepares and mails time sensitive documentation necessary for the processing of adverse event cases
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Prefer Pharm Tech license strongly, but not required
- 1+ years of pharmacy-related experience
- Knowledge of adverse health events and pharmacy terminology
- Soft skills: organization, ability to prioritize, ability to multi-task, strong verbal/written communication skills, attention to detail
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel Word, PDF, strong typing skills
- Ability to WFH: smart phone, high speed internet, private work space
- Vaccinated for COVID
Hours for this Position: M-F, 9:30am-6:00pm EST - OT is offered but not required Pay: 17-18/hour Advantages of this Opportunity:
