Position Summary: Florida Atlantic University is seeking Math Lab Tutor Assistants - Boca Raton, FL. Summary of Responsibilities: Answer student's math questions on a one-to-one, small-group, or drop-in basis to give learning assistance in a lab environment. Proctor exams and quizzes online and/or onsite. Grading exams and assigning partial credit. Inform the Coordinator at least 24 hours in advance if you are not able to keep your schedule or need to change your semester schedule. Assist with additional duties as needed. View it here: Minimum Qualifications: FAU degree-seeking undergraduate student with a minimum of six credit hours (or twelve if international) and a 2.0 GPA required. Completion of a particular course in which tutoring is being done with earning a grade of at least A- required. Recommendation from an instructor of each course you wish to tutor required. Preferred Qualifications/Skills: Overall GPA of 3.25. Good interpersonal communication skills and ease in relating to people from varying educational, cultural, and social backgrounds. Excellent level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality. Salary: $15.00 per hour. Temporary Student College or Department: Mathematics Computer Lab Location: Boca Raton Work Days and Hours: Monday - Friday, Part time between the hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Application Deadline: 2023-10-09 Special Instructions to Applicant: This is a part time position.
