Responsibilities: Oversees all aspects of the elementary curriculum grades K-5 (literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies); Works collaboratively with the team of curriculum coordinators to ensure coherence between content areas and across levels; Works collaboratively with instructional coaches, specialists, classroom teachers, and the administrative team to provided ongoing instructional leadership and professional development; Leads and actively participates in communication with all stakeholders, including staff, the Board of Education and parents; Leads elementary math and literacy teams through analysis of and response to student performance, collaborative decision making, and allocation of resources; Supervises elementary instructional coaches and aligns professional learning to continuously improve the coaching model; and Oversees elementary RTI practices. Requirements: Successful record of teaching and leadership in an elementary setting preferred; Demonstrated expertise in the area of curriculum development, instructional improvement and assessment; Knowledge of research based instructional strategies and curriculum development; Experience cultivating effective professional relationships and successfully navigating team dynamics; and CT Intermediate Administrator certification (092).
