Job Overview Our YouTube channel with millions of views is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Public Records FOIL Expert to join our team. Must have experience obtaining bodycam footage from police departments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of records management practices and be proficient in various document management systems. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity and accessibility of public records while ensuring compliance with legal standards. Responsibilities • Review and process FOIL requests in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. • Manage and maintain public records using iManage, SharePoint, and other document management systems. • Ensure proper archival processing of documents to facilitate easy retrieval. • Implement information governance practices to uphold data integrity and security. • Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information for FOIL requests. • Develop and maintain records management policies and procedures. • Conduct regular audits of records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. • Provide training and support to staff on records management best practices. Skills • Proficiency in iManage, SharePoint, and other document management systems. • Strong understanding of data management, records management, and compliance management principles. • Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail. • Knowledge of archival processing techniques and information governance frameworks. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across departments. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
