Job Description: As Deputy Sales Manager a positive image of Whole Foods Market Retail by delivering courteous, friendly and efficient service to both customers and fellow team members. The execution of these tasks must be in alignment with team and store Standard Operating Procedures. Job Responsibilities: • Creates and preserves imaginative store arrangements and merchandise presentation. • Assists the Team Leader in accomplishing objectives related to sales, procurement, and labor targets. • Supports the Team Leader by analyzing sales, labor, and reports. • Exhibits a refined understanding of the products and consistently stays informed on upcoming offerings. • Maintains favorable interactions with vendors, establishes latest vendor links, and verifies that all necessary documents are accurately submitted for vendor handling. • Works alongside the Team Leader to address and rectify any problems that arise within the team. • Acts as a liaison and takes charge of departmental operations in the absence of the Team Leader. • Committed to maintaining the highest levels of retail execution and meeting them consistently. • Promotes an upbeat culture of collaboration, mutual courtesy, and remarkable spirits. • Serves as a role model for promoting and upholding the WFM mission and goals. • Stays cognizant of the customer traffic and demands and provides direction to the team members to ensure customer satisfaction and happiness; answers customer inquiries and concerns immediately. • Ensuring a high-performing and low-departure team involves handpicking, educating, advancing, inspiring, and advising team members with diligence. • Offers thorough and well-considered performance evaluations that are relevant to the respective individuals. Experience: • An individual with over a year and a half of experience in retail team member roles and six months or more of experience as a supervisor. The working conditions in this occupation can be challenging, with long hours spent outdoors in all types of weather: • Your ability to lift up to 50 pounds will be necessary for this task. • It is expected of workers to be on their feet or walking for as much as 6-8 hours during an 8-hour shift. • Hand functionality involves a variety of actions, including the ability to grasp objects with a single hand, manipulate items with precision, and exert force by pushing and pulling. • The act of working necessitates the execution of numerous bodily motions, including but not limited to bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching. • Exposure to sanitizing substances that have been approved by the FDA for consumer usage. • Refrigerators are typically set at temperatures between 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit to keep food fresh and prevent spoilage. • Capability to function in environments with fluctuating moisture levels. • Availability to work on flexible schedules, including weekends and public holidays, is expected. • Capability to operate and manage different types of tools and equipment, such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery. • An ascent with the aid of ladders might be needed.
