Role: Full stack Application Developer (React + Nodejs) with Google Cloud Platform Location: Remote Duration: 12+ Months The Application Developer supports business process through technology solutions. The purpose of the role is to assist with the ongoing development and maintenance of an in-house application. In this role you are expected to be reliable, analytical, collaborative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can work closely with the project team through application planning, development, and releases. This individual will be highly motivated, driven, and organized to stay on target with timelines while maintaining fully testable code. Must be able to manage time while working remotely. Key Areas of Responsibility: • Develop system applications to CLIENT coding standards and quality. • Provide Quality Assurance testing and code reviews to prepare for system releases. • Perform daily operations and maintenance tasks, to include attendance of daily standups, troubleshooting issues, responding to issue escalations, and debugging and documenting systems • Collaborate with other developers to determine the optimal solution to ensure application efficiency, maintainability, and scalability. • Technically manage project efforts in development, maintenance, and enhancements of business system applications. • Develop system test plans, ensure software quality assurance (SQA) standards are achieved, and validate that business goals are accomplished. • Complete tasks on a timely basis, according to commitments made to stakeholders and management. • Report status to the appropriate Application Development Manager on a regular basis. • Understand functional requirements of users. Translate those requirements into user experiences. • Working knowledge in all stages of the Software Development LifeCycle: requirement gathering, design, development, testing and implementation • Personal Software Engineering & Technologist Traits • Demonstrable passion for technology while using problem solving capabilities to deliver solutions utilizing a top end engineering approach with an enthusiasm for learning • Focused on delivering value to the business with relentless efforts to improve process • A proponent of strong collaborative software engineering techniques and methods: agile development, continuous integration, code review & pairing, unit testing, refactoring and related approaches • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Accountable for technical debt in software • Flexible in thinking; considers other points of view • Experienced working in a dynamic, fast-paced, Agile team environment • Strong interpersonal skills; able to establish and maintain a close working relationship with team members and stakeholders • Enthusiasm for learning & results oriented • Stay current with many best-of-breed technologies Technical Traits: • Experience writing Typescript code in ReactJS(Material UI) & NodeJS for cloud native software applications using unit (Jest), integration, and E2E(Cypress) testing at the time of feature development • Experience with building solutions leveraging Apollo GraphQL to connect various parts of the application together including Mongo Database • Experience with automated delivery pipelines, agile delivery, and test-driven development • Familiarity and experience with software design patterns • Familiarity and experience with cloud native architectures (Google Cloud Platform) • Debug components with limited assistance • Perform all parts of the software lifecycle (e.g., coding, testing, deployment). • Develop practical APIs, and abstractions per defined API contracts • Demonstrated understanding of object-orientated design and programming techniques • Business Knowledge • Able to work directly with business stakeholders • Can articulate technology solutions to business audiences Apply Job!
