Position Overview: As a Virtual Special Education Teacher in the heart of Minnesota, you'll have the chance to provide exceptional instruction to students with unique learning needs through virtual means. You'll work in collaboration with students, parents, and fellow educators to create an inclusive and supportive online learning environment, nurturing both academic growth and personal development. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver engaging and effective virtual instruction to students with diverse learning needs. • Collaborate closely with students, parents, and educational teams to craft Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and specialized instruction strategies. • Provide targeted support and accommodations to help students excel in the virtual classroom. • Keep a watchful eye on students' progress, adjusting instructional approaches as needed. • Be a vital participant in virtual IEP meetings, contributing your expertise to develop effective intervention plans. • Offer guidance and resources to parents and caregivers to support their child's educational journey. • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in special education and virtual instruction. Qualifications: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education. • Special Education teaching licensure for Minnesota • 2024-2025 school year • Experience in virtual instruction is a plus but not required – we'll provide the training! • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Empathy, patience, and an unwavering passion for helping students with diverse needs succeed. • The ability to create a virtual learning environment that fosters growth, learning, and fun.
