About the position As a Pharmacy Technician - Home Delivery at Optum, you will play a crucial role in improving health outcomes by connecting patients with the necessary care and resources. Responsibilities
- Interpret providers' prescriptions and create orders as permitted by state regulation.

- Assess, input, and retrieve prescription, medical/lab, and reimbursement information from the computer system.

- Assist with operations support, training, and process improvements.

- Contribute to updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and team content.

- Demonstrate handling both inbound and outbound member/patient calls.
,
- Prep and scan documents, verify member/patient data, and submit prescription orders in the computer system.
,
- Contact members/patients/providers to validate data, request payment information, and establish order or delivery priorities.

- Identify solutions to non-standard requests and solve moderately complex problems independently.

- Plan, prioritize, organize, and complete work to meet established objectives.

- Provide an exceptional customer experience with every interaction.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher).
,
- Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (ExCPT or PTCB) or ability to obtain prior to start date.

- 1+ years of experience working in a retail pharmacy.
,
- Reside in Illinois or Iowa.
