We are currently searching for a Remote DevOps Engineer:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support Linux system platforms and SDLC/DevOps processes.
  • Develop and maintain Linux scripting using Java, Python, or related languages.
  • Operate job scheduling systems such as Autosys or CRON.
  • Support and configure web technologies including Apache and Tomcat.
  • Manage RDBMS platforms such as DB2, MS-SQL, Oracle, or Sybase.
  • Work with Public/Private Cloud environments.
  • Utilize version control and CI/CD tools such as CVS, SVN, GIT, Maven, GitLab, Docker, and Jenkins.
  • Oversee DevOps dependencies including code review, builds, repositories, packages, and distribution.
  • Implement configuration management using Chef, Puppet, Ansible, and related scripting languages like Groovy, Go, JSON, YML, and INI.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues with strong analytical skills.
  • Collaborate within global teams and communicate effectively.
  • Work in rotational shifts and multitask in high-paced environments.
  • Proactively solve problems with a solution-driven attitude.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in SDLC/DevOps on Linux system platforms.
  • Proficiency in Linux scripting and development (Java, Python, or similar).
  • Experience with Autosys, CRON, NIS, Apache, Tomcat, and RDBMS (DB2, MS-SQL, Oracle, Sybase).
  • Familiarity with Public/Private Cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, CVS, SVN, GIT, Maven, GitLab, Docker, and Jenkins.
  • Understanding of DevOps dependencies such as code review, builds, and deployments.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, and scripting in Groovy, Go, JSON, YML, INI.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Willingness to work rotational shifts.

Desired:

  • Experience supporting environments with 10,000+ servers.
  • Exposure to multiple application support environments.
  • ITIL and ITSM knowledge.
  • Experience in global client-facing support teams.
  • Previous experience in financial institutions.

Languages:

  • Advanced Oral English.
  • Native Spanish.

Notes:

  • Fully remote.
