Financial Analyst - In Office - Not Remote

  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience in banking
  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting and accounts payable functions, GAAP and financial reporting (including regulatory reporting)
  • Financial analysis
  • Demonstrated knowledge of spreadsheet and financial analysis programs
  • Proficient in:
  • English (reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics)
  • Interpersonal and communication
  • Organizational and process/project management
  • PC skills (including Microsoft Office)

Education Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field of study required
  • Specialized bank finance education/training

Responsibilities

Include

  • Perform various duties relating to the analysis of financial information and preparation of financial reports
  • Coordinate work within the department (as well as with other departments)
  • Comply with operating policies and procedures established for the financial analysis function
  • Communicate with appropriate personnel
  • Respond to inquiries or requests for information
  • Maintain appropriate records and providing assigned reports
  • Perform various duties relating to the analysis of financial information and preparation of financial reports
  • Ensure proper preparation and completion of regulatory reporting such as GUDPA and Summary of Deposits
  • Analyze financial data to assist in amending annual budget in Asset Liability Management system
  • Prepare reports and analysis to develop scenarios and strategies for Asset Liability Management
  • Prepare agenda, meeting documents, and minutes for ALCO meetings
  • Assist in managing the Bank’s liquidity position and cash flow needs
  • Review all borrowings of the Bank for Asset Liability Management purposes
  • Oversee the development and startup of the Asset Liability Management system for producing quarterly reports for ALCO
  • Prepare documentation for annual external audit and federal/state regulatory examinations, gather requested materials, and assist in preparing assigned schedules
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts; prepares journal entries to close the general ledger on a monthly basis
  • Initiate and confirm incoming and outgoing wire transfers and records transfers on wire log
  • Prepare and maintain vendor relationships under the Bank’s Vendor Management program on an annual basis
  • Perform other related duties and assists with special financial projects as assigned
  • Abide by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace
  • Cooperate with, participate in, and support the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information
  • Communicate with management and appropriate staff personnel in order to integrate goals and activities
  • Respond to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other Bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy
  • Maintain appropriate records and provide assigned reports
  • Perform tasks supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances
