Position Description Lucidus is searching for a Oracle Database Developer to play an integral role within a team that supports mission-critical systems for our federal customer. We seek an experienced professional who shares our passion for solving complex cancer research challenges through the delivery of quality services and tailored products. • Participation within project development teams, coordinating with Subject Matter Experts and project leads to contribute to database design, development, testing, and implementation based on data-oriented requirements.
• Contribute to program and project planning exercises and processes by decomposing large, complex initiatives into actionable tasks, defining task dependencies, and offering level-of-effort estimates.
• Developing PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and SQL queries to specifications defined in functional and technical requirements.
• Designing, developing, and enhancing an existing DataMart in an OLAP schema using efficient design patterns.
• Develop complex database processes with PL/SQL containing batch or ETL functionality.
• Assist the development team in the design, development, testing, tuning, and implementation of data requirements.
• Conduct performance tuning activities across queries and PL/SQL packages.
• Apply data analysis proficiencies to produce reports responding to ad-hoc requests for data based on communicated requirements and use cases.
• Compose logic and physical ERD diagrams, process flow diagrams, technical specifications, data dictionaries, and/or related database documentation as required.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Three or more years of experience working with relational database engines, such as Oracle 19c and PostgreSQL 10.6 or greater.
• Three or more years of experience developing complex PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, database triggers, materialized views, etc.
• Three or more years of experience in relational database architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing design patterns.
• Proven development experience in SQL and PL/SQL supporting enterprise applications and distributed database systems.
• Demonstrated experience with performance tuning and optimization across queries, PL/SQL, and index modeling.
• Proficient in designing logical and physical ERD diagrams, process flow diagrams, or related data processing documentation.
• Demonstrated experience in developing Extract Transform & Load (ETL) data pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Agile Development Methodologies.
• Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.

Desired Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Oracle database-related certification (Oracle Certified Associate, Oracle Certified Professional, Oracle PL/SQL Developer, Oracle Database SQL Certified Expert).
• Experience supporting database, storage, or analytical solutions in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Proficient in various data analysis and business intelligence technologies.
