We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Overnight Manager to join our team at BJ's Wholesale Club in Jacksonville, FL. As an Assistant Overnight Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the club and directing the work of the overnight team in the absence of the Night Manager. You will be responsible for coaching, teaching, and developing overnight team members to ensure excellent member service through excellent merchandising.

Job Summary

The Assistant Overnight Manager will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the club and directing the work of the overnight team in the absence of the Night Manager
• Coaching, teaching, and developing overnight team members to ensure excellent member service through excellent merchandising
• Leading by example and modeling leadership competencies, building credibility, and acting as a champion for business growth
• Communicating effectively and providing the information teams require to be successful
• Building high-performing teams by creating a culture of collaboration and providing honest and timely direction, follow-up, and feedback
• Delivering results and executing business expectations within expected timeframes

Responsibilities

The Assistant Overnight Manager will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

• Supervising the club and overnight team members in the absence of the Night Manager
• Modeling and providing excellent member service, while coaching, teaching, and developing overnight team members to do the same
• Training, coaching, motivating, recognizing, and providing input on evaluation of overnight team members
• Providing input to the Night Manager into the selection and evaluation of overnight team members
• Delivering a positive service experience to members
• Ensuring merchandise is properly displayed and has appropriate signage
• Ensuring merchandise is available for sale in proper quantities throughout the store
• Following and executing company directives related to merchandising, resets, and sales initiatives within the allotted time

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A valid driver's license
• Forklift operating experience (certification will be provided by BJ's)
• At least 18 years of age
• Leadership capabilities, including supervising cross-functional teams, training team members, and driving and communicating results
• Prior forklift operating and merchandising experience
• High school diploma, college degree, and/or big box wholesale, retail, grocery, and/or management experience is preferred
• Open shift availability
