We're seeking a highly skilled Product Manager II to drive the success of our frontend platform team. As a remote-based position, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United Kingdom, with a competitive salary range of £49,200 - £91,400 per year.

As a Product Manager II, you will own the product strategy and execution roadmap for your area, representing the customer and championing their needs. You will collaborate across teams, drive data-driven decision making, and measure success. Your expertise in frontend development, problem-solving, and communication will be essential in this role.

About the Role

The GitHub Core Productivity team builds the tools that most of our users use every day. As a Product Manager II, you will develop task ownership and a first-hand understanding of a feature, the customer, and how the customer interacts with and uses the feature. You will identify data-informed, short-term investment opportunities, evaluate tradeoffs, and prioritize investments in consultation with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy and execution roadmap for your area, aligning with customer needs and GitHub's goals.
  • Represent the customer, building direct relationships and immersing yourself in customer feedback.
  • Collaborate across teams, creating alignment between core Actions experiences, our compute platform, and the wider GitHub organization.
  • Drive data-driven decision making, analyzing data for trends and potential customer pain points.
  • Measure success, defining and tracking key metrics, and interpreting them into actionable conclusions.
  • Evangelize your product area, presenting on market trends and product vision, both internally and externally.
  • Work independently, managing your time effectively, making decisions autonomously, and driving progress without continuous oversight.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment, setting clear expectations, and managing priorities.

Qualifications

Required

  • A few years of experience in product/service/project/program management, software development, product design, or related field.
  • A few years of experience in frontend development, with hands-on experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Preferred

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical problems.
  • Experience in modern frameworks, web accessibility standards, and navigating ambiguity.
  • Proven experience shipping products, with a track record of bringing products from ideation to launch.
