We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director of Teaching and Learning - Student Support to join our team in Las Cruces, New Mexico. As a key leader in our district, you will play a critical role in driving student success and supporting educators in creating a world-class learning environment.

About the Role

  • Provide leadership and support for teaching and learning initiatives, with a focus on student support and success
  • Collaborate with district leaders, school administrators, and educators to develop and implement effective instructional practices
  • Develop and manage budgets for competitive grant applications, and contribute to the identification, research, and writing of grant proposals
  • Foster strong relationships with students, parents, district personnel, and community members
  • Utilize expertise in research-based instructional practices, Student Assistance Team processes, and 504 compliance to inform district initiatives

Requirements

  • Possess or be eligible to obtain a valid New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) Administrative License (Level 3B)
  • Five years of teaching experience in a K-12 setting
  • Well-versed in current research-based instructional practices
  • Experience with Student Assistance Team processes and 504 processes and compliance
  • Building-level administrative experience or a district-level leadership role (specialist or coordinator)
  • Strong organization, communication, written, oral, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with computer and software applications
