We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to provide data-driven answers to the toughest problems facing our business. As a Healthcare Economics Associate, you'll identify, analyze, and explain medical and pharmacy trends, build complex claims datasets, and create flexible Excel-based models to support trend driver identification and affordability opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Identify, analyze, and explain Medicare medical and pharmacy trends using claims-based analyses
• Construct polished MS Excel models to satisfy analytical requests and present complex data in a clear and concise manner
• Use SAS/SQL to construct claims-based datasets and drive innovation through data-driven insights
• Anticipate questions from key stakeholders and consider all aspects of an analysis before completion
• Work independently and take initiative on ideas to add value to the team and business
• Provide ongoing, meaningful communications to managers on project status, results, and conclusions from analyses

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related field
• 2+ years of applicable experience in data analytics, examining and summarizing data to uncover insights
• 2+ years of experience in a corporate environment
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel (practical experience working with pivot tables, advanced formulas, graphs, vlookups)
• Intermediate SQL proficiency - aggregating data from multiple tables, experience working with large datasets, translating analytic needs into technical requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcare claims (medical or pharmacy) analytics experience
• Advanced proficiency with MS Excel
