ASP/ .Net SW Developer - iSphere

Legacy & Modern Web Systems Developer Remote | 12+ Months

We re searching for a seasoned developer (20+ years in the trenches) who can balance the art of maintaining and modernizing legacy applications while still pushing forward with today s .NET Core, RESTful APIs, and modern frameworks.

This isn t just another keep the lights on role you ll be the one keeping business-critical systems alive and leading the charge toward modernization.

What You ll Do

• Maintain and enhance classic ASP and ASP.NET applications, making sure they stay stable and useful.

• Troubleshoot and optimize complex SQL queries, schemas, and stored procedures (yes, you ll get deep into the guts of databases).

• Work with Entity Framework, SSRS, and SSIS to handle complex data needs.

• Build and maintain Web APIs using .NET Core, always with RESTful best practices in mind.

• Put your front-end chops (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, TypeScript) to work on everything from bug fixes to ADA 504 compliance.

• Help redesign and migrate legacy apps to modern, compatible frameworks.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to define, design, and roll out new features.

• Support production in a fast-paced environment because downtime isn t an option.

• Apply DevOps and Agile/Scrum practices, keeping delivery efficient and predictable.

• Bonus: experience with ArcGIS and Crystal Reports (both the vintage and newer flavors).

What You Bring

• 20+ years of hands-on development experience spanning legacy through modern frameworks.

• Mastery of classic ASP and ASP.NET, with real-world project examples to back it up.

• Deep SQL Server expertise: schema design, stored procedures, performance tuning, and entity framework.

• Strong front-end experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bootstrap).

• Proven ability to deliver under pressure with excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.

• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (nUnit or similar).

• 10+ years of Crystal Reports experience, including older versions.

• 5+ years building RESTful APIs in ASP.NET Core.

• Demonstrated success in redesigning and modernizing legacy applications.

• Experience ensuring applications are ADA 504 compliant.

• Excellent communication skills confident with stakeholders, clear in documentation, proactive in ownership.
