About the Company
Slack Chemical has one of the largest privately owned fleet of tractor-trailers in the Northeast, including 37 powered units, augmented by 80 tank and box trailers. All drivers are Slack employees with extensive training in HAZMAT transporting and dispensing of a wide variety of bulk tankers, as well as packaged dry and liquid materials.
Job Summary- Company Driver (W2, Solo)
- Dry Van and Tanker trailer
- Semi local
- $800 - $1,200 total weekly avg. pay
- 700 - 1,700 avg. miles per week
- 70% Driver Load/Unload
- 5 days on, 2 days off
- Home every weekend

- Inspection of vehicle, equipment, and cargo to ensure everything is safe, legal, and secure.
- Maintaining a driver's log in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Daily customer interactions and maintaining good customer relations.
- Stacking and sorting delivered cargo.
- Submitting customer paperwork and deposits including invoices, load orders, and handheld reports.
- Loading and unloading cargo while operating cargo handling equipment.
- Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
- Class A license without any of the following restrictions: (E) No Manual, (L,Z) Air Brakes, (G) Night Driving or (O) No Semi Trailer
- Must have (H) Hazardous Materials endorsement at time of hire
- 2 years Tractor Trailer experience
