Key Responsibilities

As an In-Home Euthanasia Veterinarian with HomeHeart Vets, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing peaceful and dignified in-home euthanasia services to pets
  • Supporting families with sensitivity and compassion during a difficult time
  • Exercising sound judgment and working independently
  • Traveling locally to visit clients in their homes
  • Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with clients and our team

Essential Qualifications

To join our team, you'll need:

  • A valid NJ veterinary license (NY license ideal)
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting families and their pets

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience in euthanasia or end-of-life care
  • A strong understanding of the emotional and psychological needs of pet owners during this challenging time
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in veterinary care
