About Amazon's Warehouse Operations

Amazon's warehouses are designed to be fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction. As a Warehouse Associate, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our fulfillment operations run smoothly, from receiving and processing inventory to preparing customer orders for shipment. Our warehouses are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including scanners, power industrial trucks, and other equipment to support your work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and process inventory, including unloading trucks, scanning items, and storing them in designated areas
• Prepare customer orders for shipment, including picking and packing items, and loading boxes into trucks
• Use scanners to read bar codes on products and follow prompts on screens to complete tasks
• Troubleshoot problems, such as inventory discrepancies or equipment malfunctions
• Ensure product meets quality requirements, including inspecting items for damage or defects
• Operate power industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or pallet drivers, and work at heights up to 35 feet (equipment training and certification provided)
• Lift up to 49 pounds, push utility carts up to 60 pounds, and stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
• Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards

Requirements and Qualifications:

To succeed as a Warehouse Associate, you'll need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent required; some college or associate's degree preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, and work at heights
• Basic computer skills, including ability to use scanners and follow prompts on screens
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including full-time, reduced-time, and part-time shifts

Preferred Qualifications:

We prefer candidates with:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Experience with power industrial trucks (PIT) or other equipment
• Knowledge of inventory management or logistics operations
• Certifications or training in areas such as forklift operation or safety procedures
