Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive English curriculum that aligns with District educational goals and State standards.
• Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that ensures the emotional and physical safety of students.
• Assess student needs and develop daily lesson plans that cater to diverse learning requirements.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment.
• Evaluate student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
• Foster strong relationships with parents and guardians through regular updates on student progress and school activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues and specialists to support students with special needs.
• Order classroom supplies and instructional materials as needed.
• Participate in instructional teams to promote learning activities consistent with District objectives.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
• A valid Arizona Secondary 6-12 Teaching Certificate with an approved area in English.
• A valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Knowledge of State and Federal activities standards.
• Understanding of developmental levels of school-age children.
• Familiarity with District and Department policies and procedures.
• Skill in applying various teaching techniques and classroom management methods.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Preferred qualifications include experience in curriculum development, teaching English to diverse student populations, and the use of innovative instructional techniques.
