Field/Office Engineer - Weeks Marine Construction

They are seeking a Field/Office Engineer who will assist in project startup, field engineering, and safety while developing an understanding of company operations and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scope of knowledge, skills, and understanding of WMI operations, policies, and procedures
  • Assist in project startup, field engineering, scheduling, contracts administration, safety, estimating, engineering of temporary structures, and AutoCAD drawings for construction means and methods
  • Project submittal preparation and review
  • Follow company and work site safety policies/procedures and commit to an “Incident and Injury Free” work environment

Skills

  • 0-3 years of experience with a Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or Coastal Engineering
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work a 40-hour work week with additional hours as required by the project
  • This position requires fluent use of the verbal and written English language
  • Regular, reliable attendance
  • Work productively and meet deadlines timely
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
  • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required
  • May work at various different locations and conditions may vary
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks, Primavera, and HCSS Heavy Bid
