[Remote] Actuarial Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Healthmap Solutions is the future of specialty health management that focuses on progressive diseases, particularly in kidney health populations. The Actuarial Analyst will be responsible for organizing, analyzing, and investigating data to assist in developing optimal care management and decision making.
Responsibilities
- Compile and organize healthcare data
- Analyze data to assist in developing optimal care management and decision making
- Use healthcare data to assist in administrative and operational goals
- Investigate data to find patterns and trends
- Utilize different data sources for analysis
- Develop reports and presentations
- Communicate analytics insights to management
- Build Models and analyzing data to unearth trends and patterns
- Delve into data to discover discrepancies and patterns
- Suggest ways to both increase healthcare quality and lower costs
- Collaborate with management and internal teams to implement and evaluate improvements
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Finance, Management information systems or other related focus
- A minimum of 1-3 years of recent experience in: Excel (Visualization, Pivot Tables, Summarizing), Database manipulation in SQL (Updates, Joins, Data types), Financial Analysis (Trending vs. Actual), Working with Project Managers and Technical Groups
- Prior experience with large data
- Prior experience with healthcare data within health plan or vendor environment
- Familiarity with Health Plan financial data, PMPM, Per Thousand, Enrollment
- Operational analytical skills
- Budget and forecasting skills
- Detail oriented
