Requirements To help accomplish this “mission impossible,” we’re seeking an inspired, value-aligned Director of Flexible Packaging with a strong engineering mindset. This role will be essential in driving our Flexible Packaging division forward, commanding deep product knowledge the role will engage with customers to understand technical issues and enable market solutions. The Director will be crucial in identifying and cultivating relationships with brand, converter, and distribution partners. Requirements: The role will be to report directly to the CRO and work closely with various departments in launching our innovative flexible packaging solutions. Key markets will include food, snacks, ready to drink, tea, laundry, household, fem care, etc. The market approach will require both converter and brand partnership, and the ability to work closely with internal and external R&D groups. • Act as a bridge between customers, operations, and R&D, with a hands-on approach to technical issue resolution. • Technical know-how and savvy, yet enjoys selling/market development • Engage with customers on-site, identifying and addressing any technical challenges. • Collaborate closely with internal and external R&D teams to refine product offerings. • Build and nurture partnerships with converters and brands, understanding their sustainable, technical, and operational needs. • Partner with the lead generation team to align priorities and set achievable, strategic goals. • Deliver dramatic revenue increases • Entrepreneural attitude, innate ownership of the product line Knowledge, Skills And Abilities • Strong engineering and problem-solving mindset, with technical expertise in flexible packaging machinery and processes. • Ability to translate customer technical challenges into actionable insights for operational and R&D teams. • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, HubSpot, and ZoomInfo. • Experience in building and delivering impactful presentations. • High business acumen with an understanding of product lifecycle and sustainability. • Ability to maneuver effectively across sales, R&D, and operations environments. • Organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in project management. • Willingness to travel 30%+. • Remote position with a strong on-site presence as needed. Training And Experience • Bachelor's degree in Business or Packaging, Master’s degree a plus • 10+ years of paper and flexible packaging experience • Sustainability as a core professional presupposition • Immediate market knowledge and contacts within food, femcare, laundry, and household • Proven ability to drive development activities and resolve technical issues on the floor with a hands-on approach. • Strong entrepreneurial drive, team orientation, and customer-focused mindset. • Ability to secure and ship business with brands and converters • Ability to create a vision for ideal target markets/verticals and preferred accounts therein • Comfortable with visibility and opportunity Physical Requirements • Reaching for phone and keyboard? • Talking, hearing and repetitive motion? • Sedentary work-exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.?
