We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bilingual Creole/French Career Readiness Instructor to join our Workforce Development Program team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping individuals develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in their careers. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from our remote office and home, allowing you to balance your work and personal life.

We offer over 160 integrated programs in education, family support, job training, health, housing, and legal services, serving over 65,000 individuals and families each year.

Job Summary: As a Bilingual Creole/French Career Readiness Instructor, you will be responsible for researching and developing instructional materials, providing one-on-one tutoring and classroom instruction, and supporting clients in writing resumes and cover letters, teaching adaptive soft skills, and conducting mock interviews. You will work collaboratively with our team of career advisors and job developers to advance participants to employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop instructional materials and lesson plans to strengthen clients' job-seeking skills
  • Provide one-on-one tutoring and classroom instruction to clients to increase their chances of employment
  • Support clients in writing resumes and cover letters, teaching adaptive soft skills, and conducting mock interviews
  • Work collaboratively with a team of career advisors and job developers to advance participants to employment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and one year of applicable experience
  • Teaching style must be hands-on, interactive, and participatory
  • Willingness to adapt instruction to meet the varied needs of individuals or groups
  • Ability to multi-task and work a flexible or alternative workweek schedule
  • Demonstrated ability to work with young adults, immigrant, refugee, and asylee populations
  • Bilingual Haitian-Creole or French required
