Elementary Teacher (Second Grade) - MPS Online K-5: Inspire Young Minds and Shape the Future

As an Elementary Teacher with MPS Online K-5, you will provide high-quality, engaging instruction that aligns with state and national standards. You will use a variety of assessment strategies to inform your teaching practices and increase student self-management of learning. Your expertise will help create a rigorous and inquiry-based learning environment that fosters deep content knowledge and the habits of scholarship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that integrate Minnesota State Standards and District Graduation Requirements
• Use a range of assessment strategies to inform instructional decisions and promote student growth
• Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment that values diversity and promotes multicultural awareness
• Collaborate with peers to develop and implement best practices that meet the needs of diverse learners
• Communicate regularly with families and use community resources to support student learning
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional effectiveness and achieve district goals

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
• Valid Minnesota teaching license or proof of pending approved licensure
• Prior successful experience in student teaching or teaching in an urban, multicultural education setting
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development through coursework, research, or peer collaboration
• Master's or PhD preferred
